A reader from Austria wrote to me that there is a group of sinologists who care a lot for China, they often fly to China to attend the conferences organized by Chinese “Left”. I told her Chinese left are more fundamental Maoism, all the other spectrums are Right wing, including socialists, liberals. The terms were defined by the Chinese Communist Party. Most Chinese liberals do not know the right terms of left and right.
