A piece of memory about my mother

I am writing funeral oration of my mother, then I remember one history that she told me and can’t stop crying.

As she was a teenager, she asked for leave to go to her cousin’s wedding. That time China was collectivism, people usually were not allowed to leave their villages, so the cadre didn’t permit the leave. But nevertheless, my mother left and sent her cousin to the bridegroom’s home and got 0.25¥ (0.03€, it was very much at that time in China) as gift from his family. After she came back to her village, the cader put her in front of the folk to criticize and denounce, and forced her to give out the 0.25 ¥. My mother insisted disobey it, she said that is a gift was gave to herself personally, not to the village or the cader. Finally she won. She war brave and tenacious,I Inherited the excellences from her too.
